Information on alcohol and drug abuse prevention in Iceland.
Alcohol Consumption
The aim is to lessen the harmful effects of alcohol consumption, which is on the increase in Iceland. To turn the tide, it is necessary to focus attention particularly on young people and on the public as a whole.
Illegal Drug Use
The aim is to achieve a marked reduction in the use of various illegal substances. The damaging effects of drug use will be especially highlighted and particular emphasis will be placed on deterring new users.
